Aventure wants to retain her title

Another high-class meeting takes place at ParisLongchamp on Sunday, 24 May!
The highlight of the day, at 3:50 p.m., will be the Prix Corrida, a Group 2 race for fillies and mares aged 4 and over, run over 2,100 metres. Some outstanding mares have their names on the race’s roll of honour, including Trêve in 2015, a few months after winning her second Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe (Group 1), and Solemia in 2012, before she went on to win the world championship for thoroughbreds.
This year, all eyes will be on the defending titleholder, Aventure, who finished third in the Prix Ganay World Pool by PMU (Group 1) on her seasonal comeback, following a disappointing attempt in the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe (Group 1). She had finished second in the 2024 edition of the great race.
Another highlight of the meeting, at 2:33 p.m., will be the Prix Hocquart (Group 3), reserved for the 3-year-old generation and a possible stepping stone towards the Grand Prix de Paris (Group 1). Unbeaten in two starts, the Aga Khan Studs representative Varandir will take on another colt with a flawless record, Chamali, as well as Wiki, third in the Prix de Suresnes (Listed) on his second outing.
