Pearled Majesty the main attraction on Sunday at Saint-Cloud

On Sunday, Saint-Cloud will host eight races, with the highlight being the Prix Eugène Adam, a Group 2 race for 3-year-olds run over 2,000 metres. Scheduled for 4:00 p.m., this contest will be headlined by Pearled Majesty. Much anticipated in the latest Qatar Prix du Jockey Club, Christiane Head’s representative, trained by Mauricio Delcher Sanchez, was unable to show his true ability, proving too keen. In a significantly smaller field — only four runners will line up — the Prix Noailles (Gr3) winner should be able to prove far more competitive. His main rival will be Overnight, still relatively inexperienced but a recent winner of the Prix Ridgway (L) in good style.
The Prix Armos, a Class 1 race scheduled for 4:35 p.m., does not carry Group status, but it will bring together several quality horses. Clavus, who comes into the race on the back of two victories at this track, will notably attempt to complete a hat-trick. The 2-year-olds will open the meeting. Among the fillies, Queen of the Day, a winner on debut at Saint-Cloud on 2 June, will be one to watch, as will Ciceron among the colts, having finished second on debut behind Avec Toi, a horse who left a very strong impression that day.
