Trained in England by Roger Charlton for owner-breeder Khalid Abdullah, Pocket Square (Night of Thunder) easily won the Prix des Reservoirs (Gr3), Wednesday in Deauville. Bred from a sister to Juddmonte Grand Prix de Paris winner Zambezi Sun, and formerly a winner at Ascot on a faster ground for her second outing, she adapted perfectly to the heavy turf, leaving her compatriot Run Wild (Amaron) at a length and a half after showing her the way flanking the front-running Frankel's Storm (Frankel).
The French defender Scripturale (Makfi), racing for Ahmed Mouknass, Pandora Racing, Gérard Decocq and Isabelle Corbani, finished well in third place. She had just taken a second place in the Critérium de l'Ouest (L) in Craon.
The two raiders from britain in the Prix Isonomy (L), Tammani (Make Believe) and Celtic Art (Mastercraftsman), also on Wednesday in Deauville, took the first two places.
