The 104th renewal of the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe weekend once again reaffirmed its status as a major event in the international racing calendar, both in terms of the sport and its enthusiastic supporters. The public turned out in large numbers throughout the weekend, demonstrating the strong bond it shares with this iconic event.
In an atmosphere that was festive and elegant, ParisLongchamp and its 33,000 spectators, many of them having traveled from far away, delighted in the rhythm of the races, entertainment and highlights organised by France Galop:
The presence of Zeus, the iconic mechanical horse from the Opening Ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the creation of the Arc Village hosted by former footballer Adil Rami and the “Sommet de l’Arc”, located 30 metres above the track, offering spectators a bird’s- eye view of the event.
Designed to engage spectators, these innovations elevated the racing experience by combining the thrill of horse racing with unforgettable moments.

In terms of sport, the 2025 Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe delivered on all its promises
Victory in this World Cup of horse racing, which saw the world’s best horses line up at the start, went to France. After an intense battle over the final furlong, Mickaël Barzalona partnered Daryz, who is trained in Chantilly by Francis-Henri Graffard, emerged as the winner of the 104th renewal of the event.

This victory marked an emotional new triumph in this race for the prestigious Aga Khan Studs colours, represented by Princess Zahra Aga Khan. These famous silks have now triumphed a record eight times in this iconic event.
With total prize-money of €5 million, including €2.85 million for the winner, the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe remains the most valuable race in Europe and one of the most prestigious races in the world.
Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe day : More than €100 million wagered across the globe
The 2025 edition of the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe generated a lot of enthusiasm from punters around the world and at the ParisLongchamp racecourse. Wagers on the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe alone totaled €16.6 million in PMU bets, up 3.3% from last year. At the ParisLongchamp racecourse, the betting turnover increased by 13.5% to €1.57 million on the day. However, the PMU turnover across the entire card fell by 2.7% to €32.7 million, compared to 2024.
Across the globe, wagers placed in Hong Kong during the meeting, in both the commingling pool and separate pool, totaled €30.9 million (+22%), while Japanese punters wagered €38.3 million (+34%) in the separate pool on the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe alone.
Overall, wagers on the meeting surpassed €100 million, both in PMU commingled pools and separate pools !

On the @francegalop social media platforms, the campaign deployed throughout the weekend achieved record results. On X, videos targeted at French, English-speaking and Japanese audiences generated 3.7 million impressions (+1.3 million vs 2024) and over 800,000 views, double last year’s figures. Overall, across all France Galop managed platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X and TikTok), videos published amassed 2.7 million views, a +111 % increase compared to 2024.
