The two classic prep races that are the Prix La Force (Gr3) and Prix Vanteaux (Gr3) races, Sunday in ParisLongchamp for the reopening, returned respectively to Shaman (Shamardal), a Wertheimer&Frere homebred now promised to the classics, and Platane (Le Havre), also bred by the Wertheimers.
In the Prix de Harcourt (Gr2), the main race of this ParisLongchamp return meeting, the English raider Ghaiyyath (Dubawi) led the race and won from start to finish for his return into action, with a length and a half to spare on Soleil Marin (Kendargent), also racing for Godolphin but for French trainer André Fabre.
The winner is at the beginning of a great season among the best European pretenders. He won last year the Prix du Prince d'Orange (Gr2) over 2,000 metres and his shrewd connections have since decided to spare him for this campaign.
