Kenway (Galiway) came from last to first in the final two furlongs of the 7-furlongs Prix La Rochette (Gr3), Sunday at ParisLongchamp. Bred by Guy Pariente and owned by the Chehboub family's Haras de la Gousserie, Kenway confirmed his recent Listed win at Vichy on the same distance. He headed Wooded (Wootton Bassett), who had just taken over Sujet Libre (Hurricane Cat), on the wire, scoring with a short neck margin. Les Hogues (Bated Breath) finished fourth at three lengths.
Kenway was sold €56,000 to Kamel Chehboub's haras de la Gousserie at the Deauville yearlings sale. He was consigned by the Haras de la Collerie, where he was bred by Guy Pariente's holding. His dam Kendam (Kendargent) won the Prix Eclipse (Gr3) and finished 3rd in a Prix de la Forêt (Gr1). Kenway is her 2nd foal.
