Sunday, April 11, 2021, ParisLongchamp Racecourse (Paris). - Second for his debut last July at Deauville, Adhamo (Intello) won on his third attempt, at Argentan, a minor Normandy racecourse. Since then, however, he's never looked back and remains unbeaten in four races. This Wertheimer & frère homebred trained by Freddy Head is now a €80,000 Prix La Force (Gr3) winner, which puts him on the French Derby map.

He was the favourite in this first potential Derby test towards the Prix du Jockey Club (Gr1). Ridden by Maxime Guyon, Adhamo travelled in third and made his move eaérly in the straight to take over a challenging Erasmo (Oasis Dream), who hadn't run this season, and had to oblige in second, three lengths behind the winner. Gagarin’s Moon (Sea the Moon) was the unlucky runner in the race, finishing 5th very close for the podium after a bunch of hiccups and a late rally.

Adhamo is the 3rd foal out of Foreign Tune (Invincible Spirit), a Listed winner over the mile, unsold €300,000 at the Arqana Breeding sales after foaling Adhamo. She also gave a Dark Angel filly who was sold last December at Deauville for €95,000 and won soon after at Pornichet for trainer Adrien Fouassier. Foreign Tune is a sister to the Group winners Attendu (Acclamation), Impassable (Invincible Spirit) and Spotify (Redoute’s Choice).

Adhamo is in the Prix du Jockey Club and the Grand Prix de Paris.
