September 25, 2021, Auteuil Racecourse (Paris). - Third for her seasonal return in a Listed Hurdle race at Auteuil, earlier this month, La Chenevière (Montmartre) dominated in the run-in of the Haras d’Étreham Prix de Chambly 3-year-old fillies Hurdle (Gr3). She was held behind the favourite and leader of the race, Matilda du Berlais (Martaline), who hadn't run for 106 days. Finally 3rd, the David Cottin-trained filly couldn't keep the second place against her stablemate, La Boëtie (Saint des Saints), who had beat her last time out in the Haras d’Étreham Sagan 3-year-old Fillies Hurdle (Gr3).
Trained by François Nicolle for the Carion family, also breeders of La Chenevière, the filly was racing for the 5th time. 4th for her debut in the Wild Monarch 3-year-old Fillies Hurdle (L) won by Matilda du Berlais, she went on with a 2nd place and a win, again at Auteuil, before the Summer break.
She's the first foal out of Baie des Veys (Nickname), who ran 4 times without a win for the Carions. A Masterstroke yearling colt was born last year. The 3rd dam of La Chenevière, Perle Morinière (Gairloch), gave two good chasers, Luc Morinière and Duc Morinière, who performed well in Auteuil's main handicaps ...
