Relocated from Saint-Cloud to Deauville, and from the turf to the all-weather, due to the heavy rain in the Paris region, the first two Listed races of the Parisian scene this year will take place this Friday, March 6 at the La Touques racecourse.

Open to aged horses over a distance of 1,500 metres (AWT), the Prix Altipan (L) gathers 7 contestants whose best rating was achieved by the locally-trained Go To Hollywood (Penny's Picnic), already a Gr2-placed in Germany. Last year, The Revenant started a great season in this race.

Nine 3-year-old runners are set to clash in the Prix Rose de Mai (L), over 1,900 metres. Tamahere (Wootton Bassett), trained by François Rohaut at Pau and entered in the Prix de Diane Longines (Gr1) is the best so far. The other fillies also entered in the French Classic are Karlarina (Le Havre), Passefontaine (Wootton Bassett) and American Apples (American Post), who has just joined Francis Graffard's yard at Chantilly after having started her career with Yann Barberot, for which she won this winter her maiden at Cagnes last time out

Merryweather (Dunaden) comes from England after three consecutive all-weather wins ...

In 2019, the race returned to Phocéenne, from Marseilles.
