July 16, 2022, Saint-Cloud Racecourse (Hauts-de-Seine). – Third last time out in the St James's Palace Stakes (Gr1) at Ascot, the British invader My Prospero (Iffraaj) won his first Group race in the Prix Eugène Adam (Gr2) in typical British fashion, that is the hard way. Trained by William Haggas for Sunderland Racing, he was pushed ahead by Tom Marquand despite his outside draw and held on to the wire, beating Zagrey (Zarak), who merely pushed him away, by half a length. The two Wertheimers in the race, the previously unbeaten Junko (Intello), and Vagalame (Lope de Vega), finished together third and fourth at a small length.

According to the sectionals, Zagrey and Junko, who had been trailing the field, posted the best furlongs in the race (11''20 in the second last, and then 11''70 in the last), but for his first tilt at 10 furlongs, the English colt clearly was the best in the race.

My Prospero (Iffraaj) was homebred by Sunderland Holding. He's by the fast Iffraaj (Zafonic) out of My Titania (Sea The Stars), a Group3-winner at 2, also fourth in the Coronation Stakes at Ascot. The dam already foaled My Oberon (Dubawi), this in the 2021 Prix d'Ispahan (Gr1). The following filly My Astra (Lope de Vega) also did well in France where she finished 2nd in a Listed race, and she was aletly second in the Pretty Polly Stakes (Gr1) at the Curragh.

Speed is on the sire line, but stamina abounds in the dam side with Sea The Stars (Cape Cross) and a Boussac-Aga Khan bloodline.
