Friday, 19th May 2023, Chantilly Racecourse (Oise). - Likely one of the most experienced of the seven 3-year-olds gathered at the start of the 6-furlong straight €80,000 Prix Texanita (Gr3), as she was participating in her eleventh race, the English raider Believing (Mehmas) outran the field in the last furlong. The representative of Highclere travelled without real support in the middle of the course. Still, she irresistibly broke free and maintained a length's lead over Shalromy (Shalaa), another filly, who finished a good second.

Believing was sold as a yearling for £70,000, then £115,000 as a 2-year-old at the Craven Breeze-ups at Tattersalls. She won on her second outing, six weeks later on an all-weather track, and finished second in a Group 3 race as early as September at Ayr, in Scotland. Fifth on her return this season, she then claimed victory at Chelmsford, again on an all-weather track, before winning her grand race in France.

Believing's dam, the unraced Misfortunate (Kodiac), is a sister to a Group 3 winner, and the third dam a sister to top-level winners in the USA and Europe.
