September 8, 2022, ParisLongchamp Racecourse (Paris). – After Behkabad (Cape Cross) in 2009, Jean-Claude Rouget saddles another Prix des Chênes (Gr3) winner in this 2-year-olds’s important contest. Racing for White Birch Farm, Kubrick (Dubawi) made quite a splash here.

Held in last by Cristian Demuro, while Pivotal Trigger (Pivotal) and Adelaide River (Australia) were running ahead, he placed an impressive turn of foot to overcome the athletic Irish raider, who still sustained his effort to the wire.

About five lengths in the deep with three furlongs to go, Kubrick (Dubawi) ran the second last furlong in 11''03, which is by far the best time in this section of the race, and he did not falter with a final section covered in 11''79.

Kubrick (Dubawi) was bred by his owner, Peter Brant. By Dubawi (Dubai Millenium), he’s out of Rosa Bonheur (Mr. Greeley), a two-time winner also Listed-placed purchased for €80,000 by White Birch Farm at Goffs breeding sales in November 2016. She hersefl is out of the very good sprinter Rolly Polly (Mukkadamah), acquired at 2 by Daniel Wildenstein still undefeated. Winner of the Prix Robert Papin (Gr2), she had also done well in the United States. She is the second dam of Exxtra (Starspangledbanne), recent winner of the Prix d'Arenberg (Gr3).
