Sunday, May 14, 2023, ParisLongchamp Racecourse (Paris). - Undefeated in three races after stylishly claiming the €250,000 St Mark’s Basilica Coolmore Saint-Alary (Gr1), Jannah Rose (Frankel) has quickly risen to the top of her promotion in France. A winner at 2 of the Prix de Toutevoie over the mile at Chantilly, she caused a mild upset when winning the Prix Vanteaux (Gr3) for her seasonal return, and confirmed here by taking enough field in the last furlong to put herself out of reach of Elusive Princess (Martinborough) after waiting for the final straight to take over outside.

Elusive Princess thus confirms the Prix Cléopâtre (Gr3)'s form, in which she finished second behind to Crown Princess (Zarak), over whom she takes a nice revenge here as she beats her by nearly a length on the podium. Fourth in the "Cléopâtre", Heartache Tonight (Recorder) records the same result here after having travelled on the pace.

Jannah Rose was sold for 650,000 euros as a yearling at Goffs. More recently, at the end of last year at Goffs, her 6-year-old elder sister, In My Business (Roderic O'Connor), fetched 46,000 euros in foal to Starspangledbanner and was bought by Ballyhane. Their dam Sophie Germain (Indian Ridge), is also the dam of the Gr2 winner Creggs Pipes (Rip Van Winkle), and the second dam is an Italian Oaks (Gr1) winner.
