Monday, 1st April 2024, Saint-Cloud Racecourse (Hauts-de-Seine) – Making his comeback after a 113-day break and a year since his last win in the same race, the 5-year-old Tribalist (Farhh) triumphed once again over the €116,000 Edmond Blanc (Gr3) mile.

Leading from the start and the clear favourite, the chestnut horse extended his lead in the final straight and finished three lengths ahead of a good Marhaba Ya Sanafi (Muhaarar), who had won for his comeback the Prix Altipan (L) on the same course and distance. Second that day, Topgear (Wootton Basset) this time ended up third, three lengths behind Marhaba Ya Sanafi (compared to two lengths last time).

Bred by Car Colston Hall Stud, Tribalist (Farhh) was sold for 130,000 Guineas at Tattersalls by Stroud Coleman Bloodstock. His dam, Fair Daughter (Nathaniel), did not race. Tribalist is her first runner. Born in 2020, his younger sister Mer Lunaire (Sea the Stars) was sold as a maiden for €35,000 to Atlas Bloodstock last December.

The second dam, Wiener Wald (Woodman), directly produced five black-type winners, including Racing Post Trophy (Gr1) victor Crowded House (Rainbow Quest). This family lineage includes Prix Maurice de Gheest (Gr1) winner Brando (Pivotal), Ticker Tape (Royal Applause), victor of the American Oaks Invitational and Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup Stakes (Gr1), and Reckless Abandon (Exchange Rate), undefeated at 2 in five outings, including the Prix Morny and Middle Park Stakes (Gr1).
