October 17, 2021, ParisLongchamp Racecourse (Paris). - The only female taking part in the Prix du Conseil de Paris (Gr2), down to 5 runners after Monty was declared a non-runner, Seachange (Siyouni) was looking for a first success at Group level, her very first start in a Gr2. She had, however, already win a Listed event, the Prix de la Pépinière (L) in July over 10.5 furlongs at Chantilly for her 5th trial in such a race. The Wertheimer & Frère homebred, conditioned by Carlos Laffon-Parias, had also finished 4th and then 2nd in two Group 3s, last in la Coupe de Maisons-Laffitte (Gr3) won by Dawn Intello. This time, she was able to travel in third behind Visualisation (No Nay Never), the only 3-year-old at the post, and Mr de Pourceaugnac (Camelot), then take over about one and half-furlong out to finally hold off Mr de Pourceaugnac, beaten a head. The favoured The Good Man (Manduro) finished well in third about two lengths back…

Seachange is out of Ydillique, sold by the Wertheimers after her birth for € 55,000. Her 2015 colt, now gelded, by Lawman is now a jumper and goes on sale at the Goffs Autumn mixed sale. It is a North-American family with Seachange's third dam being a sister to the great US sires Saint Ballado and Devil’s Bag. Seachange also has a sister of a 3-year-old named Laguna Seca (Le Havre), now exported to Ireland without a run, and a weanling filly by Sioux Nation…
