Sunday 29 August 2021, Deauville-La Touques Racecourse (Calvados). - 4-year-old gelding Dilawar (Dubawi) easily defeated his ten rivals in the Barrière Prix Quincey (Gr3), for his first trial over the mile and his 5th race altogether. The Aga Khan homebred trained by Alain de Royer Dupré has only run this season and has now totalled four wins.

With his 8-draw, he moved closer to the pace on the far side of the field which he demolished in the final furlong to score by two and a half lengths ahead of an excellent Now We Know (Kendargent), winner of the Deauville Grand Handicap this summer. The leader National Service (Elusive City) bravely stayed on in third place, half a length ahead of Sky Power (Stormy River).

Dilawar is the first foal out of Dolniya (Azamour), a Gr1-winner and placed at 3 and 4 over 1m1/2, from the same family as the great Dalakhani and Daylami. Dolia (Invincible Spirit), Dilawar's younger sister, finished second in the Prix Volterra (L) over the mile in June for her second outing. They are followed by a 2-year-old Siyouni colt and a yearling filly by Kingman.
