Sunday, May 1st, 2022, ParisLongchamp Racecourse (Paris). - Winner of the 2021 Prix Jean Romanet (Gr1) in Deauville and 5th in the Japan Cup (Gr1) for her last run of a long season, 6yo mare Grand Glory (Olympic Glory) keeps going strong this term and wins again easily for her second test in 2022, the Prix Allez France Longines (Gr3). Trained in Maisons-Laffitte by Gianluca Bietolini, she's now owned by Haras de Hus (Xavier Marie), who bought her for €2.5m at Arqana last year through bloodstock advisor Yohea (Anne-Sophie Yoh Benet). Grand Glory had just won for her return in the Prix Zarkava (L). This time, she let German raiders Amazing Grace (Protectionnist) and then Waldbiene (Intello)  lead the small field, soon joined by the Prix Zarkava 2nd Burgarita (Sea the Stars). Grand Glory put an end to her rivals' hopes early in the straight, flying away early in the straight to win by 3.5 lengths over a brave Burgarita, who fought to the end against Amazing Grace for 2nd place.

It was the winning mare's 20th race, and her 8th win for just over €1m in prizemoney and premiums.

Grand Glory was bought for €18,000 privately at Arqana and her Toronado brother had made €16 000 in October 2018 in Deauville, but he won 4 times now for the Lenglet Stable under the name of Bois d'Argent, winner of the Prix du Ranelagh (L) last Autumn. Their dam Madonna Lily (Daylami) never won but she's a sister to Minakshi (Footstepsinthesand), a Group2 winner in Canada. Their brother Marble Garden (Royal Academy) won a couple of Listed Hurdle races at Auteuil.
