English raider Terebellum (Sea the Stars), impressing for her debut at Goodwood in May, had then failed on a testing turf at Newbury in a Listed event. That day, however, the John Gosden-trained filly finished alongside Star Terms, who fought on Thursday and almost won the Prix Minerve (Gr2) in Deauville. She was out for two months and yet, her trainer was confident enough to go straight to the Shadwell Prix de la Nonette (Gr2)!

He knew what he had in store. Terebellum completely stole the show and won easily, taking off in the straight to win by over a length over a brave Mutamakina (Nathaniel), who confirmed her success in the Vichy Oaks, and Cartiem (Cape Cross), who reassured a bit two months after her failure in the Prix de Diane Longines (Gr1). Suphala (Frankel) finished fourth, more than one length behind the winning trio.

Terebellum was purchased € 400,000 by Godolphin at Arqana August sales in 2017. Her sister by Invincible Spirit goes on sale in October at Tattersalls in England.
