Revenge of the Prix du Palais-Royal (Gr3) won at the end of May by the English raider Hey Gaman on the same course and distance of 7 furlongs at ParisLongchamp, the Prix de la Porte Maillot (Gr3) took place on Thursday night July 4 in front of the ever-growing crowds that attend the Jeuxdis Thursday night parties on the Parisian racecourse. As in May, Polydream (Oasis Dream) finished ahead of Spinning Memories (Arcano), Marianafoot (Footstepsinthesand) and Tornibush (Dream Ahead). However, the finishing order was slightly modified as this time, Marianafoot took second place ahead of Spinning Memories, the other best finishers with Polydream, who has long waited at the rear of the small field.

Homebred by the Wertheimers, Polydream won last year the Prix Maurice de Gheest (Gr1) over six and a half furlongs in Deauville.

Her younger Invincible Spirit sister Big Brothers Pride made € 400,000 at the Arqana sales in August 2017 and she won the five-and-a-half-furlong dash Prix Sigy (L) like a champ in the making back in April. She has not been entered since her French 1,000 Guineas forfeit though, but she is still declared in training.

She was bred by the Écurie des Monceaux, who bought the dam Polygreen (Green Tune), full of this filly, for € 200,000 at the Arqana breeding sales in 2015.

A double Listed winner over 7 furlongs, Polygreen had previously been deemed worthy of competing in the Poule d'Essai des Pouliches (Gr1) for the Wertheimers and finished seventh. Her best daughter before Polydream, Evaporation (Red Ransom), avenged her by winning the Prix Amandine, a Listed race over 7 furlongs, in which she had finished second.
