June 20, 2021, Chantilly Racecourse. - It was his first trial over the mile after winning his first race this term over 7 furlongs in the Prix de Pontarmé (L), and Erasmo (Oasis Dream) stayed long enough to hold off a resolute Best Lightning (Sidestep) in the Prix Paul de Moussac Longines (Gr3). Placed in 4th position in this seven-strong field, the Mickaël Barzalona-ridden 3-year-old took over Perseverants (Zoffany) and Paco (Paco Boy) about one out and drove himself out of reach, Best Lightning missing only by a short neck.

Always well positioned behind the leaders by the rail, Moai (Showcasing) finished a good third behind the first two home, as Perseverants stayed on bravely in 4th.

It was the seventh race run by Erasmo, already a Listed winner last season for Godolphin. Second to Coachello for his come back this term, he'd won immediately after and confirmed here at a higher level.

Erasmo was bought for £ 140,000 at the Newmarket sales. He is a brother to Reckless Abandon (Exchange Rate), winner of the Robert Papin (Gr2), the Middle Park Stakes (Gr1) and the Prix Morny (Gr1) at 2, and the best 3-year-old sprinter in Europe in 2013.
