The favourite Want of a Nail (Kapgarde) finally won her first race in the Prix Haras d’Étreham – Prix Magne Hurdle (Gr3), A 3yo Fillies hurdle race run Wednesday at Auteuil, a year after L’Autonomie's win in the same contest. A sister to champion chasers So French et Whetstone, Want of a Nail races for Magalen Bryant. She was bred by Benoît Gabeur and she's trained by Guillaume Macaire, like her older siblings. It was, however, the sixth attempt after five placings! Want of a Nail went into the last bedn with the front-running Gomeraland (Lord du Sud) and Kalmia (Authorized), whom she'd beaten lately and finished second at 5 lengths, ahead of Gomeraland, the trio leaving the remaining runners far behind.

The race is part of 3yo Fillies hurdling 5-races program sponsored by Haras d'Etreham. It leads to the Prix Bournosienne (Gr2), the final event of the series, run on Saturday, November 2nd within the Jumps 48 hours at Auteuil.
