Saturday, September 26, 2020, Auteuil. - Second for her debut in July and in September for her comeback, both times behind Fortunes Melody (Yorgunnabelucky), the 3-year-old filly Hotesse du Chenet (Martaline) took resounding revenge in the Haras d'Etreham Chambly 3yo Fillies Hurdle race (Gr3). After letting her usual rival lead, the Magalen Bryant-owned filly, bred in the Orne (Normandy) by Marie-Laure Besnouin, took her up in the final turn. Both fillies flew away from the field at blazing speed and Hotesse proved superior this time, beating Fortunes Melody by ten lengths. At seven lengths concluded Ha La Land (Poliglote), always pointed near the leading group.

Favourite Ladyville (Doctor Dino), on the other hand, gave in in the final phase after travelling nicely behind the leaders. It was her comeback race.

Thanks to the partnership of Haras d'Étreham in this race, Marie-Laure Besnouin gets a free nomination from the Etreham roster, in addition to a breeder's premium of € 5,481.

Hotesse du Chenet is out of the good Tanaïs du Chenet (Poliglote), winner of the Cambacérès 3yo Hurdle race (Gr1) at Auteuil in 2010. At stud, after a career which allowed her to earn nearly €560,000, she also gave Gary du Chenet (Martaline), recently the winner of the Gelas Chase at Auteuil, and more recently the 2yo Ibiza du Chenet (Manduro) and a colt by Doctor Dino born in 2019.
