NEW – An exclusive web series with athletes from the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games

A web series, broadcast exclusively on @FranceGalop social media, will accompany several athletes expected to compete in the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games as they meet horses training for the Grand Steeple-Chase de Paris.

Journalist Charly Milpied, who is well-known among Equidia viewers, will present these episodes, which will be broadcast in the run-up to each stage of the Grand Steeple-Chase Masters. Each athlete will give their impressions of the training and talents of a particular horse and will draw parallels with their own training.

The first episode (only in French) will be broadcast on Tuesday 20th, February 2024. It will feature Vladimir Vinchon, a former jockey who suffered a car accident in 1994, which led to his right leg being amputated. His desire to ride has never left him, and he is now a dressage and para-dressage rider. After already competing in the London and Tokyo Paralympics, he is expected to compete at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. He met racehorse Il Est Français, trained at Chantilly by Noël George and Amanda Zetterholm, and is one of the 2024 Grand Steeple-Chase de Paris favourites.

The next episodes will take viewers to meet racewalker Gabriel Bordier, Renaud Lavillenie, a racehorse owner who is set to represent France in the pole vault, cyclist Valentin Madouas, and Carla Neisen, captain of France’s women’s rugby sevens team.

For racehorse owners: a €150,000 bonus is up for grabs in the 2024 Grand Steeple-Chase Masters

In the Grand Steeple-Chase Masters, owners can once again attempt to clinch an exceptional bonus of €150,000, courtesy of France Galop, if one of their horses wins two trial races plus the 2024 Grand Steeple-Chase de Paris.

An additional bonus of €75,000, which makes a total bonus of €225,000, will be awarded for a “Grand Slam”: wins in two trial races, followed by a win in the Grand Steeple-Chase de Paris, then in the Prix La Haye Jousselin this autumn! You have to be in it to win it!
