Tuesday, 9 April 2024, Deauville-La Touques Racecourse (Calvados). - The seven colts of the €80,000 Prix Djebel (Gr3) completed the straight 7 furlongs two seconds faster than the fillies in the Imprudence, and the gelding Lazzat (Territories), who largely dominated them, won unchallenged by two and a half lengths.

However, he will not be able to compete in the spring classics, restricted to entire colts.

The runner-up, Keran (Blue Point), who finished pleasingly in second place and had won his debut in April at two before taking a six-month break, should be able to honor his entry in the Emirates Poule d’Essai, that si the French Guineas.

Lazzat is now undefeated in four outings. Gelded in September last year, he made his debut - and won - at Cagnes-sur-Mer in January, then again in February, before claiming the Prix de la Californie (L), always on turf. At Deauville, the very heavy course, otherwise in excellent condition, did not pose a real threat to him.

The colt was homebred by Nurlan Bizakov's Sumbe. He is the first foal out of an Australia mare who raced and won - once - for her breeder Nurlan Bizakov in England. The mare herself comes from a sister to the classic Sleepytime (Royal Academy).

A Golden Horde filly was born in 2023.
