Monday, May 1, 2023, Saint-Cloud Racecourse (Hauts-de-Seine). - fast ahead of the seven-horse field of this €130,000 Muguet (Gr2), Tribalist (Farhh) started early in the straight and never looked back. Coming from the second-to-last rank in the middle of the course, Facteur Cheval (Ribchester) strongly hit the line at a good length, ahead of the favorite and returning Erevann (Dubawi), out for 212 days since his victory in the Qatar Prix Daniel Wildenstein (Gr2). The Aga Khan homebred travelled in fourth position and never left the rail. The Revenant (Dubawi) was unable to make significant progress and had to settle for fourth place, also at a good length.

Thus, Erevann slipped among the top three of the previous episode of this miler section, the Edmond Blanc (Gr3), won a month earlier by Tribalist in front of The Revenant and Facteur Cheval...

Bred by Car Colston Hall Stud, Tribalist (Farhh) was sold for 130,000 Guineas at Tattersalls by Stroud Coleman Bloodstock. His dam, Fair Daughter (Nathaniel), never ran. Tribalist is her first runner. His 3-year-old filly by Sea the Moon (Sea the Stars) is trained by Gavin Hernon and has just started her career with a sixth-place finish. The second dam, Wiener Wald (Woodman), directly foaled five black-type winners, including Racing Post Trophy (Gr1) winner Crowded House (Rainbow Quest).

In this family, there is also Prix Maurice de Gheest (Gr1) winner Brando (Pivotal), Ticker Tape (Royal Applause), winner of the American Oaks Invitational and the Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup Stakes (Gr1), and Reckless Abandon (Exchange Rate), undefeated at 2 years old in five starts, including the Prix Morny and the Middle Park Stakes (Gr1).
