As of Wednesday 11th July, eighteen two-year-old colts and thirteen fillies, a third of which are based in France, have been entered in the Darley Prix de Cabourg (Gr3), the second stage of the Darley Series after the Darley Prix Robert Papin (Gr2).

Run over a distance of 6 furlongs on Sunday 29th July, this race is held during the Prix Rothschild (Gr1) event, the first big race day of the Barrière Deauville Meeting.
Dabirsim and Ervedya are the most recent winners of the race to go on to triumph at Group 1 level.

Dabirsim did the double with the Darley Prix Morny (Gr1), which is scheduled for 19th August this year and is the third stage of the Darley Series.
French trainer Freddy Head has won the last two edition of the Prix de Cabourg, with Alrahma then Tantatheem, two fillies owned by Sheik Hamdan Al Maktoum.

The former also finished second in the Darley Prix Morny, which was won by American horse Lady Aurelia in 2016.

Fourteen of the last fifteen editions of the Darley Prix de Cabourg were won by thoroughbreds trained in France.
Late entries close on Friday 20th July.
