The high class Enable (Nathaniel), the winner of the 2017 Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, has yet to race this season as a result of a knee problem which surfaced in May. However, the Khalid Abdullah-owned filly is steadily hitting the comeback trail and, on Wednesday, (August 1), she was put through her paces at Newmarket where she is trained by John Gosden. One option for her comeback race is the Juddmonte International (Gr1) at York on August 22nd, but her team clearly won’t be hurried on this matter. Teddy Grimthorpe, the racing manager of Prince Abdullah, told the British press: “Enable worked on the Al Bahathri on Wednesday. It was nothing very serious, but she showed a good action, and attitude as well, and she's taking little steps towards a comeback run. York would be a nice option, but we will certainly not push her to get there just for that race and we have the option of the September S. at Kempton [on Sept. 8] if not.”
