The Prix Alain du Breil Hurdle Race (Gr1) is the top French hurdle race for 4yos. The 34th renewal takes place on Sunday at Auteuil in the Zeturf Grand Steeple-Chase de Paris (Gr1) card. Nine answered the €250,000-worth call to succeed Wildriver (Willywell), who upset last year the favourites Tunis and Master Dino.
Also trained by Guillaume Macaire, Feu Follet (Kapgarde) won the Prix Amadou Hurdle Race (Gr2)  by five lengths last time out. Owned by Pierre Pilarski, Feu Follet then beat Polirico (Cokoriko), his best challenger so far. New challengers emerged for this contest, especially French Made (Dream Well), delegated by the Irish trainer Willie Mullins after he finished third in the Irish equivalent of this race. Mullins also trained the winners of the Prix Alain du Breil in 2013 (Diakali) and 2016 (Footpad).
