After a good start, Silvery Mist (Stormy River) let the others argue for the lead and relaxed backwards until 2 furlongs out, waiting for her time to come behind a string of challengers, but she took over decisively as soon as she was abale to go and bravely fought off Heads Together (Kodiac) in the end to score by a neck with the 3rd-placed favourite Paname (Siyouni), over 3 lengths behind.

It was only a second time out for Silvery Mist after an anonymous debut over Deauville's all-weather, when she looked interferd with early in the first turn.

Consigned as a yearling by Haras d’Étreham, her breeder, who kept a fifth of her property, at the 2016 Arqana October sale in Deauville, Silvery Mist was sold €55,000 to bloodstock agent Crispin de Moubray. the filly is out of the Irish Listed placed Misty Heights (Fasliyev), and dam of 4 winners. The dam went to Galileo, Dansili and twice to Wootton Bassett lately. One of her sistrs by Grand Lodge gave the champion Joshua Tree (Montjeu), triple winner of the Canadian International (Gr1), a Group2 winner at 2 in Britain, either winner or placed in 16 Group1 races before entering stud.

Off with a good start for his 4th outing after finishing 6th at Maisons-Laffitte in May, 5th in Compiègne in June, and 2nd at Dax in July, Land of Mind (Myboycharlie) stayed on for his come back with a convincing pilar to post victory. He left the 2nd-placed Gone Solo (Sharmardal) 2 1/2 lentghs behind without much hassle, in a time 1.6 second better than the fillies earlier on the same mile. Sold as a yearling at the La Teste Osarus sale, he was sold €35,000 to bloodstock agent Marc-Antoine Berghgracht (MAB Agency).

The colt was sent to Mauricio Delcher-Sanchez, who also trained his elder brother Coco City (Elusive City), both being out of the US mare Coco (Storm Bird), born in 1997 and also the dam of a 2yo filly by Swiss Spirit. Her best foal to date however is Carilo (Dubai Destination), 3rd in the Prix Cambacérès 3yo Champion Hurdle (Gr1) at Auteuil in 2012.
