Cracksman (Frankel) is one of the top contenders in the forthcoming Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe (Gr1). However, the Anthony Oppenheimer-owned colt, who races in the same colours as the 2015 ‘Arc’ winner Golden Horn, is coming off a disappointing second in the Prince of Wales’s Stakes (Gr1) at Royal Ascot. He was subsequently pencilled in for a crack at King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes (Gr1) at Ascot on July 28th, but is now expected to bypass the ‘summer’ version of the Arc.

Trainer John Gosden said: “He's full of himself and is happy as anything. We're freshening him at the moment and we'll keep an eye on the King George but he's more likely to be coming back for a late summer/autumn campaign. We're not even halfway through the year yet.” Concerning Cracksman’s Royal Ascot run, the handler admitted that his charge was taking more interest in the fillies rather than concentrating on being a racehorse.
