Following last year’s fairytale victory by modest Saônois, which horse will take the laurels in this year’s most highly-anticipated Classic?  

In 2012, outsider Saônois stole the show in the Prix du Jockey Club at Chantilly. Ridden by Antoine Hamelin, a young jockey fresh from his apprenticeship, Jean-Pierre Gauvin’s pint-sized protégé showed brilliant panache, storming to glory with a powerful burst of acceleration. 

This year once again, a field of determined three-year-olds will launch out of the starting gates and embark on a courageous battle to victory over 1 mile 2 ½ furlongs. This historical race is an ideal opportunity to showcase budding talents, assert ambitions and launch the career of racing’s future stars.
