Start the holidays in style at Saint-Cloud!
Taking place on 27 June, this 8-race meeting offers a sneak preview of the thoroughbreds who have run or will run in October’s Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.
The summer’s premier flat race
The main event, the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud, draws Europe’s top thoroughbreds aged 4 and over to compete over the classic mile-and-a-half distance. A great sporting moment is guaranteed and leading English, German and Irish performers have no hesitation in making the trip to try to clinch what is a springboard event in a horse’s career.
On the race card
- Thoroughbred races,
- Numerous free events on a holiday and beach theme: badminton, sandcastle building, pétanque, bungee trampolines, open-air games, etc,
- Several catering options will be available at the racecourse, such as the Panoramic Restaurant, bars and barbecues, without forgetting ice creams, crêpes and waffles to delight younger visitors,
- Picnic areas will be provided for racegoers, offering a foretaste of the holidays.
Getting there
- A stone’s throw from Porte Maillot,
- Train: take the train from Gare Saint-Lazare to Val d’Or,
- Bus: the 360 from La Défense and 160 from Pont de Sèvres (get off at La Bérangère), as well as the no. 244 from Porte Maillot (get off at Val d’Or),
- Car: from Porte Maillot head towards Pont de Suresnes, then take the Boulevard Henri Sellier.
The Racecourse opens at midday, and the races and special events get started from 1.30pm onwards.
